Ron Hustwitt advises, no sickness this month. Contact Ron at 519-746-1282 to report any sickness you are aware of.

Ron also wants to remind Probians if they need a ride to a meeting and are unable to make their own arrangements, they can contact him and he will arrange a ride.

If anyone is willing to help with this driving, please contact Ron.

Parking Notice:

At the last meeting, several people received $35 parking fines. Please be sure not to park in areas that indicate a permit is required. Don Grant provided this picture to show you where the current restricted area is. Don has also added this information to the Website.

 

Special Events:

Saturday, June 18 – A great day to Port Dover is being planned – set the date aside on your calendar. Here are the details:

  • $85 per person (tickets available at the Feb. 22 meeting)

  • Departure Time – 9:00 AM via motor coach

  • Arrive in Port Dover in time for shopping and a stroll

  • Noon lunch at the Erie Beach Hotel (pickerel and chips) – they are famous for this

  • 2:00 PM – Musical “Ned Durango” at Lighthouse festival Theatre

Return Time – 6:00 PM

A brief note about the musical “Ned Durango”:


This is the World Premiere of a musical comedy by Norm Foster and Leslie Arden.

Ex-NHLer and disillusioned restauranteur Tom Shaw is saddled with making the annual Victoria Day Tomato Festival Parade in Big Oak the best it's ever been. Tom entices New Durango, an old TV cowboy star to help the economically troubled town.

Book Club:

This month's book is "A Celebate Season" by Carol Shields and Blanche Howard. Meeting to discuss the book will be held at Dolf Bogad's home at 2:00 pm on Feb.23rd. All are welcome.

 

Probus Outdoors Group First Activity:

Meet at Adult Rec Centre at 185 King St S on Tuesday, February 15 at 09:30.  We will walk along the Iron Horse Trail and perhaps enjoy a coffee at Vincenzo's on the way back.  Contact person is Dorian Hausman.
