The Outdoors Group hikes on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month starting in February. You can also find out about our times and locations for hikes by looking at the Event Calendar on the club website.

Financial Group:

Eight members of the Financial Group met at Don Nightingale’s home on May 4th, 2012. Don provided a wide range of information/pamphlets and an overall summary of the various Government and Private programs available to support Seniors. We were in awe of his collection which took days to assemble. Thanks Don for all your good work !

Our next meeting and topic(s) has yet to be determined. We will provide an update at our May 29th Probus Meeting. If you are interested in joining our expanding group, please contact Karl Kaufman.

Upcoming Events:

December 12 – Christmas Luncheon. This popular event will once again be held at St. George's Banquet Hall. If you have ideas for entertainment please let Don Blain (539-664-0220) or Bruce Hannah (519-741-7377) know.

Management Committee Decision:

As a result of requests from members and in order to facilitate better electronic communication, the Management Committee has decided to make e-mail addresses available to the membership. This will be done with the same qualification as personal information is published in the Annual Directory – that it “is not to be used for any commercial or other purpose unless the Management Committee give permission in writing”.

Special Guest at May Meeting:

Maureen Irving, Director in Ontario District #4 and our representative with Probus Centre Canada, will be in attendance at the May 29 meeting.

She will speak briefly to inform/remind us of the bigger Probus picture regionally, provincially, nationally, and internationally, and to explain her role.

Thanks to Dolf Bogad for the photos this month.

A special thank-you to Don Grant for the great job he did editing the past 2 issues of Probuzz while I was out of the country. I really appreciated being able to leave Probuzz in Don's capable hands!
